E99 f-350 PCM upgrade
I have a E99 f-350 and am doing an 08 dash swap and using the swap helper cluster helper now my truck doesn’t have a cruise light indicator and want to upgrade the PCM for all the benefits but have heard that the cruise light will now work but if there’s no wire going in the dash how will the indicator work?

I swapped out my e99 PCM for a 01, I never did get a CC light. I can’t remember the month of E99 build dates that the CC light started to work. My build date is 8/98 and I don’t have a CC light... The E99, especially those with later build dates are a Frankenstein mixture of E99 and L99 parts...

Well, that’s a long story. I found one online, it eventually needed to be rebuilt and talked with Chris at Module Experts...first mistake. He talks a good game, sent me one in two weeks, the truck would not start. Send it back to him eight weeks later I got one. I made it very clear what PCM I want it. It wasn’t until four years later? That I found out what I had and what I wanted were two different things. I ended up sending mine to Jonathan at Diesel Technology of Chattanooga. Turned out I actually had an NVK4.
i’ll run any PCM up to a 2001. I’ll post some pictures of the information I used to look for one. However if you’re set on going with a new one. I would contact Jonathan at Diesel technology of Chattanooga and see what he can do with yours or what he has available. It will save you a ton of headaches, money and you will have something that works! I paid $200 for the original “new” pcm, then $800 to have Modular Experts rebuild it, then $150-$200 to have Jonathan go through it, fix some issues he found etc... knowing what I know now in the money I put put out, I would just buy one from Jonathan!
