fuel pressure is only 30 psi check it with 2 different gauges, idle 30 psi , WOT stays right st 30 psi
think I am going to just put a new fuel pump in have already done the hutch harpoon mod, pump is probably weak from god only knows how long they ran it with screens clogged!
The regulator or spring can do some strange things if it is not exactly right. I know this from experience.
Also, it is quick and easy to check.
Let us know what you find.
consider it done, i will pull that 1st, although i do not have a replacement for it, Checked through my parts box no spring ! Want to check pressure from the current pump too
A while back RV tech had a weak pump that would allow his truck to start and idle, but not allow for any throttle input. He was stuck in a campground, was lucky enough to have his trailer moved by another camper and then able to replace the pump and be on his way.
I "think" I recall one other FTE'r that had a similar situation, but cannot say for sure.
I could not find the post/thread because the FTE search function is woefully inadequate and I was too lazy to use the Google method David recommended the other day.

You should have a Parker 60VLV-5 Vibra-Lok on hand for the fuel line fitting. You can source them from McMaster-Carr...50385K83
i sure am glad i listen to you guys, I took apart the fpr, it was pretty gummy, cleaned it all up and put it back together, Not sure why i am reading 100+ psi, but i used to different gauges with the same results!
going to drive it a couple of days, going to order the fpr rebuild kit from riffraff, i felt no bucking at all on my short test drive ! YAY!

I also replied on your other thread. High pressure is a sign the spring is not seated correctly in the FPR pocket. Time to take it apart and check again.
100 psi i is too high. I believe factory spec is 45 to 65 or 70. Something must not have gone back together quite right. I would double check your reading. Then may need to open her back up.

SOrry guys i double posted on my other tread i was worried my transmission was going, I am on the right train now, thinking it's fuel related , I agree i will have to open it up and double check that the spring seated correctly! Wind is howling and COLD AF, so i was a little rushed putting it back together!
