CKP and CMP problems
Yesterday hooked up the battery, and gave it a LOT of cranks... no start
JPRO wasn't working on my PC, checked in my other PC, disappeared, can't install it on my PC son installed in the other... fine
Scanned and no DTCs, What is happening? I thought
Then did KOEO Self On Demand Test and found no issues (found EGR DTCs but mine has the EGR deleted)
Then checked data montor and found something crazy: CKP and CMP are asynchronous, did the CKP pinpoint test and the problem was... the PCM, wiring is fine, so is the CKP, a CKP should have detween 300 and 400 ohms wich mine had 395.5 ohms: fine, to test the CKP itself, you should check between both CKP pins, to check CKP and wirning you should test between PCM engine connector pins 30 and 41, my PCM is CRAP, what i will do today is: create a frequency with my CATERPILLAR FREQUENCY GENERATOR and scan the tuck with jpro, if still no speed shown: PCM straight to the junk bin, in july 2020 i bought both CKP and CMP sensors, the ckp came failed but my CKP was (and still) fine, my old CMP was twisted so that was the problemt
My CKP is FINE, after testing with my caterpillar 8T5200 tool it shown 130 hertz, with weak battery
