I left 2.5" - there's another thread with a bunch of info about trimming and it seems like most folks leave 2-3.5".
When my new snowplow arrives in another month or so, I'm sure I will have to trim again, but hopefully that will involve just notching it out around the mount.

The so-called Prius catchers is a safety feature to prevent small cars disappearing under your trucks, and I don’t se any purpose for removing them unless for fitting something else there.

Why is it that some trucks have the Prius catchers and some don't? I have a 2019 F-350 DRW and it does not have them.
