You have a truck with electronic ignition, electronic fuel injection, electronic shift transmission... If you KILL THE POWER at 60 MPH, i would guess a LOT OF NOISE AND **** happens..
Quarter turn of the key nothing. Full turn, nothing.
I tapped on the alternator with my knuckle...., boom! It was chiming, lights were on, etc. I started the car and off to the dealership we went.
Car went dead at 40mph, and we had to drift into the shoulder. It never started again, no power no nothing. Weren’t even able to get it into neutral so the flatbe
You have a big electrical problem... not motor grenade, not transmission.. NO POWER... RANDOM.
Could be something as simple as ignition switch internal failure ? No ground for battery ? Corrosion at battery terminal or cable ends away from battery.
If the truck STOPS and does NOTHING... most of that is related to the KEY IGNITION... Try the headlights... they dont go thru the switch.. If no headlights also, then its more related to battery / cables / main power supply.
I’m hoping it’s and issue between the source and where it’s going. Battery is good, and all of the other components check out according to them, hoping to hear more tomorrow

What are we talking cost wise replacing the lines that run from the battery to the rest of working parts?
THey should not randomly replace all power lines. They should inspect each clamp and fitting and look for corrosion, loose bolts... something that moves when you bump or vibrate the truck.
The first issue sounds like an electrical issue. Either a loose connection or a bad battery. The 2nd issue sounds like you dropped a rod.
Let us know what the stealership says. Hope it all works out for you.

My only concern was that it was picked up and this happened shortly thereafter. Something of this magnitude should’ve been found on the initial 5 days it was there...

If they did charge you, make it known you expect some sort of remuneration this time on their dime as far as labor goes. Don't expect them to just give you any parts for free. Could be something as simple as a bad ground.

Ok guys, just got the truck back...
It was the “power circuit to smart junction box” that was causing the problem. They were able to replicate what happened when the truck was running.
They “repaired power to the SJB harness/connector”
So far so good, and the dealer picked up the repairs! Thank god for the service manager
