A newbie here!
I am planning on making the 2LO / 2Wd mod. I have a 2020 6.7 and have the wires ran with the relay standing by. I am very hesitant to cut into the 4 wheel drive relays wiring. My question to throw out there to you all in my new family. Has anybody investigated the part numbers and availability of the male and female connector/plugs that lead into the vacuum relay? This way I can make a pigtail to install and not cut into a harness.
Thanks so much for any help!
You're only cutting into one wire. I cut mine about 4 inches back from the solenoid. Then I crimped a male spade one end and a female on the other. That way it can easily be returned to stock setup if ever needed. Simply unhook the leads going to the relay and plug the 2 ends together. By cutting the wire away from the solenoid, the splice is hidden inside the factory wire loom.

I have spent a lot of time in the Ford Wiring Diagram book, trying to determine where those connectors are made. I took mine loose and could not find a single number or identifier on it.
I am going to do what you are doing but I am going to add a resistor into the mix so there is no chance of setting a DTC when operating it.
