Just finished installing my 10K mod an I got to say it does work. Truck runs great. I put a switch on it behind the access panel under the steering wheel but put the switch looking down so I can reach under and switch it off or on. I used a relay and incorporated it into the idle validation circuit. So now when I step on the accelerator, the relay energizes which closes the 10K circuit to operate thru the ICP and when I let off the accelerator the relay drops out an opens the 10K circuit and I have no rough idle like sitting at a stop or red light. Very easy mod, just took some time to do. I took some pics an will post maybe tomorrow when I get them on comp. Later.
I'm glad it worked well for you. It seems that the 10K mod is quite popular right now. If you've got the opportunity to take a few pics and post them, I'm sure it would help answer some questions for people.
I just got done putting the 10k on my 95 psd, and it sure did put a little more hitch in its giddy up, but, i was wondering, the resistor i used, i bought at radio shack and the biggest they had was a 10k olm 1/2 watt resistor. would a 1 watt'er make any noticeable difference over the 1/2 watt'er?
Furthermore, does the wattage even have anything to do with the effectiveness of the mod?
