I don't have any major complaints about my BFG KO2 per se. But I think my size is a little too wide at 12.8 inches. So they ride up on top of deep snow, then if you spin you sink.
Next time around I've decided to go with a narrower footprint. I have a size in mind that's 11.2 inches wide.
I’ve had 3 sets of KO2s. I don’t see how there can be a better all terrain tire. Quiet as a highway tire on the road, better than a mud terrain in the wet and snow, has good enough traction in the dirt/rocks for anything I would want to do with a 3/4 ton pickup, looks nice and aggressive but not like a high school kids truck that is trying too hard. Doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
I think there are a few almost-equal good all terrain tires. I prefer the more aggressive hybrid AT. Type of AT tire depends on your terrain and use.
My first top choice is Cooper ST Maxx. General Grabber and BFG KO2 close second. Mastercraft Courser also good. I have never tried Toyo or Nitto but hear good things. There is always someone with a bad experience with what is usually a good product.
I think Cooper ST Maxx is best. STMaxx has larger voids and better lateral rain grove. ST Maxx is slightly softer rubber than KO2 so slightly better on hard pack frozen snow or ice. ST Maxx seems smoother on highway. ST Maxx traction still seems good when tread passes half-life. KO2 traction declines a lot past half-life. KO2 will dig and chug in deep stuff a little better when tread is new. ST Maxx lacks a few larger popular sizes. I am on my second set of ST Maxx and plan to get them again.
Not much has been discussed about the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac that is used on the Tremor. Anybody have experience with this tire and how it compares with the BFG KO2?

I used Duratrac for several years before we switched to KO2. The Duratrac look more aggressive than KO2 but for any deep stuff I found the KO2 is much better. In deep snow KO2 is much much better than Duratrac. On dry dirt roads or rocky terrain the Duratrac may be slightly better than KO2. I think on dry terrain is where the Duratrac does best and really works good. On wet dirt or grass stuff Duratrac slip more than KO2. Duratracs seem to have a little break in period and KO2 does not but after a little wear the Duratrac feels better. Duratrac is a little softer rubber than KO2 so slightly better on hard pack frozen snow or ice but Duratrac wore out faster than KO2. For highway KO2 feels more secure and better planted than Duratrac. Someone tell me if I am wrong but I think KO2 has a stronger sidewall than Duratrac. Overall I feel KO2 is better than Duratrac.

You may want to throw Falken Wildpeak into the mix. Lot's of good reports running these on the Super Duty trucks. I had bought a set for my grandson's Pathfinder a few years ago and they lasted until he traded in that vehicle and they still looked great. Worth a look!
I've run most of the brands mentioned except Duratracs. The KO2s were the absolute best for snow but have a terrible load rating for anything above the metric ratings in my opinion. This is why I chose Toyo-AT3 and Ridge Grapplers with load ratings of (4080 and 3970) each in the 37/12.5/18 respectively. I've always wanted the ST Maxx but again the load rating is too low for carrying a truck camper. I can say the RG's wear the best so far.
I really like my Cooper S/T Maxx's. They have been pretty good in snow, ice and mud, also nothing on wet roads has scared me. I have over 36k on them and think !'ll make 42k or more. I did only rotate them once. I did have one blow the inner sidewall, when it was going down on a rough **** road in Missouri. Mine were made during the recall Cooper just announced. I wouldn't hesitate to have another set, and will depending on how Cooper does the recall (if mine are eligible), but will probably go with Falken Wildpeaks. My son had a set, they wore very well and were about $300 less a set, last I checked. The Wildpeaks aren't quite as good in the mud, but do well in all the other areas.

I'll 2nd the ST Maxx tires. I have them on my 2020, and I had them on my 2000.
