New Bed Access Running Boards
I like that these are mounted higher than the factory boards closing the unsightly gap.
Easy to install- but you will need to be able to loosen. Leaf spring bolt to fasten rear brackets.
Mounts with four brackets which is nice since most others I saw only had three.
Good an solid step too, not flimsy at all.
Like the tucked up look but not stuffed.
They are set under just enough to not be obtrusive
lo
I put a set of Iron Cross boards on my truck (also a SCLB) and there is zero support for the bed step. The last support bracket is the one directly under the rear door, so there is probably 3 feet of unsupported running board.
It deflects at least 6" at the end when a 200# guy stands on them. Absolutely unacceptable. I've been trying to come up with a way to make this more rigid.

I'll take a picture tommorow for you of leaf spring brackets
Funny, I ordered two sets of another brand that showed three mounts like yours and sent back when saw that no step area mount. Cheap design for sure....these are solid for sure. I'm 200# as well and there is no give at all

I made sure these fit, and then had them Line-X'd before I even stepped on the rear step, so I'm stuck with the flimsy ones I have, unfortunately. I'm perfectly capable of copying somebody else's support though.

where did you order them from ? I’m looking at their web site and I’m not seeing them .

This is where I grabbed them from. Listing is for black but they have it in silver as well- I called them since for some reason listing does not show silver powder coat.
One of better prices I could find for them.

This is passenger side. Shows two piece brackets and how slotted holes bolt up to allow adjustment
Hope this helps you make a support for your steps
DBL. nuts were my doing.... didn't have loctite handy do I used spare some extras to avoid having anything loosen up.
It went together fine and the brackets are pretty substantial. It was nice to see that somebody actually cared enough to engineer something rather than let the boards "run free". (Although, with aluminum they didn't have a choice unless they wanted to reinforce the boards). I didn't like the three mount supports I saw on s.cabs as It would put a lot of stress on the third position factory mounting studs....not good. There was another running boards manufacturer I saw that supported the third step area from the bed mount above. Used a hinged design that allowed for bed movement. Didn't like that idea, it could be p.i.a if not executed precisely. Can't recall who it was but that's something you could explore too.
