Hi all, This is a new crank no start condition for me. My wood truck is a 94 f250 7.3 psd auto. I put it in the truck 14 years ago... Don't use it that much, but I have always been able to work through the issues..
OK so crank no start. did the usual checks, unplug icp, nothing... tested GPR,, all good. swapped out IDM, not the problem.. So I put a 3000 psi guage on the high pressure circuit,. The pressure buried the gauge while cranking over. Like past 3000 psi....
I also tried cranking while ICP was unplugged and same thing.
So is the IRP stuck closed, or is the PCM not doing its job??
Any ideas before I dive into either the PCM or IRP swap.. I do have a spare PCM I will try hooking up first....
OK,, I plugged in my spare PCM and turned it over... The ICP was up and down and then it fired.. Ran for a couple seconds then died. Now the batteries are too low... Also, I forgot to plug the ICP sensor back in. Will let batts charge and plug the sensor in and try again. But looks like the PCM may be acting up....
Question... Is the IRP in "Normally Closed" when ignition is off???
