Hi guys,
I have a 2020 CrewCab XLT. I have had aftermarket systems in cars before but I am not looking to go crazy at all. I'm thinking of going the route of upgrading some door speakers and adding a small sub. I want something that gives a little bass but preferably behind the rear seat rather than under. This is my work truck but having a platinum and other vehicles with better sound I am looking to upgrade. With that being said I am looking for the best value of crispy sound that isn't too thumpy but has more bass than stock. Crisp and clarity is what I am going for. I am open to any recommendations and looking to hear what you guy have done. Most importantly I want to make sure everything is compatible with the 8'' sync 3.4 system.

Take a stroll down to or call a local car audio shop.
Crutchfield is not the end all be all of car audio advice so don’t put 100% trust on what’s written on their website or what the Customer Service people say.

just order my stuff yesterday. I had been looking for a few months. After reading reviews and watching videos. I listened to a few different brands and level of speakers within brands. I went with JL audio c5. 6.5 components in the front and coaxial in the rear. 2 small subs behind the seat and a XD 700/5 amp. Due to shipping and virus issues the speakers are backordered. But it seams like it will be worth the wait. I heard the speakers in a Mercedes Benz and was really impressed. I’m putting a similar system in my 2020 f350. It wasn’t cheap but the sound was amazing. I listen to a lot of country music / old rock so big bass wasn’t important. The speakers were set with the 6.5 pushing clean mid bass and the two 8s pushing the lows. Clean sound. I’ll post more after they are install next month.
Thats great - thanks for the reply. I also mainly listen to country with some rock mixed in so that set up may be spot on for my wants. Looking forward to seeing the install

I’m also paying extra to keep them out of my dash. The installer is running new wire from each door to the amp then to the crossover and back to the door. I am willing to pay a little more just to make sure I have no issues with the warranty. It’s a brand new truck.
