Ladies/Gents, in an effort to compile the build of my truck, I figured I should create a thread to compile photos and projects I have done on my 2019 Platinum F250 with the 6.7L stroke. Let me start off by saying that this is my dream truck and that the majority of my free time goes to it (no kids yet lol...). I bought it in August of 2019 after trading my 2018 Ram 2500 with the 6.7L cummins. I took a long vacation without Platski, and took advantage of the time away from my truck to order parts. Below is Platski's story.
So reasons why I swapped my Ram to Ford...
1. Transmission
2. Interior
3. Paint
4. Looks of a Platinum
Ford throws in a stout transmission in their diesel heavy duty trucks, every single one of them no matter if they are a F250 or an F650. The 6R140 is strong stock, and can still handle some juice after deleting. After deleting a cummins you really have to take it easy until it blows. The 6r140 gives some flex with additional power, although you can't be dumb with it. In terms of the interior, well, the interior is larger than a ram's cab. I opted for the tri-coat white platinum paint on my F250. The paint looks amazing and comes with a thicker clear coat than Ram's. Lastly, the looks of 19+ Rams are amazing, but my eye has been keen on the exterior/LED headlights of a platinum F250.
Overall, I think a cummins could outlast a powerstroke, hands down. The Ford will do anything I will ask it to do, plus some for quite some time. Here are some photos of my Ram and Platski a week or two after I grabbed it from the dealer!
Got some custom stickers made to keep the white/chrome look. Too much color takes away from the paint!
More stock photos of platski You can't see, but I used clear bra to fend off shoe/boot scuffs Installed jam handles to keep fingerprints off...Takes too damn long to wash this truck!
One of the first modifications I did to the truck when I returned was install a BDS 4" Radius Arm Lift kit. I did about a week's worth of research to figure out what size and quality kit to go with. I landed on lifting it only 4" instead of 6" to have the flexibility of driving on 35-37" tires. I feel like the 35s will be able to hang and 37s will fill up the wheel well. If I went 6" I wasn't too confident that 35s would look decent under the lift. I have never had a lift kit before so I wanted more than a leveling kit, but less than a 6" lift kit. Additionally, I wanted a smoother ride, although I am not complaining of the ride compared to the Ram 2500 (with coils on all 4 corners). The process took me 3 total days, making multiple trips to stores for tools. Looking back, I should have read the instructions before gearing up for the project. Between those 3 days, I also should have checked the weather because I installed the lift kit in my driveway lol. After installing the lift kit by myself, I have a pretty good understanding on the kits now. Doesn't mean I will install another kit by myself in the future haha. Upgraded shocks to Foxes. Worth it. Stock coils out! Lift coils in, radius arms set! Stock vs BDS radius arms Stock vs BDS radius arms Finishing product! Platski looking good
Glad you posted this! Looks great. Ordered my 4 inch BDS radius arm lift yesterday with all the Fox upgrades. Also ordered Cooper STT Pro's 38/13.5/20's. Rims have -18 offset pretty much like yours. Can't wait!
How do you like the way it drives?
Before pic of my truck. Have 120 miles on it already!
How do you like the 4inch? I am looking at the BDS live vs the Icon one... Icon is a lot more $$$$ so thoughts on the BDS are appreciated
BDS makes a high quality product (instructions could have been better). I love the 4'' height, people think its lifted 6". I am very happy with the 4" BDS radius arm kit with the upgraded fox shocks option. I don't know how much more the Icon is, but it can't be much better. What do you want to know specifically? I can try and explain better lol.

Your truck is going to turn into a monster truck soon with the long bed lol. You made the right move with the BDS kit! It drives/feels very well, but at the end of the day you have to accept that you are driving a heavy duty truck. I would make sure you do a chalk test for your new larger tires, and that will also help with the ride because if your tires are like my 37x12.5 ridge grapplers, they are at 50/35 psi. They are now setup for their longest life and makes for a more comfy ride at that psi. 60psi on all four corners will be a little rough on roads. You made another great decision with the fox shocks.
Along with the lift kit, I threw on new wheels and tires to even out the proportion of the lift and smaller tires...After long research and debate (with myself) I ended up going with an all black look for wheels choosing the Hostile Jigsaws, asphalt in color, 20x10s with a -19 offset. For tires I went with 37x12.5r20 Nitto Ridge grapplers. I have never had 37" tires on my past trucks nor a lift, so for Platski I wanted to build it in a different way than what I have done in the past. I have had ridge grapplers in the past and they are quiet and do well in the areas I take them through. They are also great in the rain. I think for my next tires I will go 325/60s for more width and a little less tall. 20x10s wrapped in 37s. Great amount of tire and wheel combined. All black look with the asphalt color wheels. Had to go with spiked metal lug nuts.....They look great from afar although up close you can tell that they are rusting within the interior of their individual lug holes...
Current project is ceramic coating the truck. I have done about 75%, and the remaining 25% is the passenger side fender, passenger doors and the hood. Then it will be finished. The coating adds a phenomenal shine to the truck with the minimal amount of scratches I had. I've had the truck for a year already and have never taken it to an automatic car wash. The truck had very few scratches/swirls so I used a compound pound with polish, then transitioned to a polishing pad with polish. The truck is looking great so far and I plan on posting pics once complete. It's quite a complex and time consuming process.
Materials Used
- Adam's Ceramic Coating (DIY kit good for 2-3 years; ceramic boost)
- Griot's Paint Prep Spray
- Dual action polisher
- Meguiar's Polish and compound

Thanks brother! You make me feel good about my decision. Very excited.
I too was agonizing about the black vs bright rims. Was going to go blacked out, then just decided recently to go bright. Think it will look good with a silver truck. Decided on Helo 917's, to go with the 38/13.5/20's with -18 offset. Offset should be similar to yours.

I have always liked the white paint with black rims...basic but love the look. With your paint, I’m really interested in how it will come out. Installing yourself? It will kick your *** lol
