Question about manual regen

So when I order my truck should I get the manual regen option? What is the advantages of having it?

If you plan on using Forscan for anything just skip it on the order and enable it yourself.

Only on XLT and down.

My understanding is that it cannot be added even with FORScan on Lariats and up. I added it to my STX.

this is incorrect. I added it to my 2019 Lariat thru FORscan.

If you like to monitor things piddle then it's useful. I turn my auto regen off because I normally exceed 500 miles before my DPF hits 100%. With it on, they will regen at 500 miles or when it hits 100% whichever comes first. I like to reduce regens so that is why I use it.
