Post 11. But I don't know that OP has found the VIN on the frame. Seems the officials there are as obstinate as any in the US. Did we retain this when we declared independence? Or did we develop it and export it to the UK?

I've found here in my state, that the registration people don't really know all that much. That's when I look up a DMV inspection officer that works with, and enforces rules for auto dealers. They usually know everything about what is needed, as that is what they do.
I used to be an auto dealer, and have also rebuilt total loss vehicles when I wasn't a dealer. The people over that know their stuff.

It was ex NATO . What that actually means I dont know . Did the US government gift it to NATO ? . I signed in a created an account on the US Ford home page and bingo the VIN was recognised . But I need it on a letter or an Email . Yes I am based in the UK . Is there such a thing as a heavy Ford truck still available any-more they just look like big vans ?

Its a very slow crawl . I can get it to come up on Fords web site .But the call centre cant or wont put me in touch with a representative that will email me . I need an email or a letter . I suppose I will have to use snail mail
