any ideas ??

We have a 1988 F350 Super Duty Lariat. We are doing some equipment/parts replacement and need some ideas on replacing the Air Clean Cold air intake... the old one is broken and crack and we have not been able to resource a replacement / substitution on Ebay or anywhere else... Has anyone else had to replace this part? Where did you find one? Did you find an alternate solution (what, and where can I buy/find it /make it)? Is there a K&N part that will fit and what is the part number.
This is what we know / have found:
The OEM part number is E8TE-9C675-BA
One similar part found on ebay... but it is for a 95-96 F350 and does not have the "accordion" center (which is the area that is broken and cracked)
So far the only solution we can come up with is to "construct" a metal adaptor to go from the square part to round accordion hose (to be secured with large hose clamps)
ANY ideas or help will be much appreciated

I believe the smooth ones are interchangeable with the accordion ones... at least I hope so, because I just bought a new smooth one to replace my broken accordion one.
I'll let you know after I try to install it, but that may be a while since we're covered in ice right now.

This thread has some information on your air intake tube questions: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post15628073

The later version used on the OBS trucks with the 4.9L and 7.5L is very close to the same.

I found the later version, F3TE-9A675-BB, on E-Bay years ago.

I picked one up in the past year, same for 4.9L and 7.5L as mentioned above.
I think I found it on a 4x4 bronco forum, signed up just to communicate with the guy.
$10 USD last year.

Keep searching different forums, and post wanted ads, someone will have it.

Is there a junkyard near you that you could go to? I’ll take a look next time I’m at Pick-N-Pull, see if I see a matching intake.

FYI...The smooth one installed in place of my accordion one with no issues.

Found one on Ebay that fit a '92-'96 ... Had to take the bracket off the old one and use short self tapping screws to replace the rivets.. but it went right in and works great.
