I think the one part # always comes with the same key cut. Like for a fleet. Just a guess on my part.

these plastic caps are great.
if you ever loose your key..or if the key stops working...you can just put a 1 3/4 inch dry wall screw into the cap and that will defeat the key feature.
if you need some diesel for your generator or diesel heater...you dont need to siphon diesel out of the fill spout...just put a bucket at the fuel drain .
