ECT or coolant temp. sending unit?

Amazing enough it just fired up immediately and ran like a new vehicle. Mine was next to the steering column behind the kick panel on drivers side which may be what you said. I unbolted the big plug in the engine compartment then unscrewed the bracket holding down the computer. Make sure that there is some kind of warrantee especially if you buy it from a wrecking yard I trust my local guy. He did good for me.

Get a Haynes manual or a Ford/Helm service CD. The CDs can be had for $5 + shipping and include MUCH more info, but the Haynes is still a good investment at $12 from any parts store.
