So do the sealed non serviceable boxes actually need to be changed out or not since they don't actually have a filter just baffles. I am reading conflicting arguments. I am pretty sure I have an oil leak coming from the upper oil pan gasket. Seems to be up somewhere above the starter. I was thinking of changing this out to see if it slows it down at all. Thoughts?
I just did mine couple days ago. 17 f250 104k nonservicable. Did it just cause I wanted to open it and look. I barely got the beginning of oil leak. Nothing plugged inside box but there bout 6 cones with small holes that could plug but mine were ok. In another 100k I probably do it again. Have do fuel filters at same time because have get it out of way. Pain to reach. Topside creeper is way to go if ya got one.

Do you happen to have a part number for the non-serviceable replacement? Thanks!
There are several different versions that came on different generations. Are you looking for the 17-19 non serviceable box? Some have swapped out for the 20-22 box, or 23+. All non serviceable.
I have an 18. They all have the same footprint. I believe earlier than ours the coupler back to the intake is different but works the same and I believe the really early ones have a connection with a sensor on them. Much smaller design. Did mine a couple of weeks ago. I removed the hot side intake. Removed the fuel filter. The two front bolts are not a problem. The closer one to the driver's side some people loosened the fuel rail to get under it. If you have the right setup, it is not necessary(low profile socket and wobble). The rear ones in the back can be a PITA. For the further one I used a 3/8 driver with an 18" extension and wobble. All are 10MM. Have fun...
