Has anyone had this happen to their backup camera? My sons 2010 F150 Lariat 4x4 is having this problem. Had the dealer look at it and they said they had never seen it before said I just needed to replace the whole camera system.

For anyone having issues with their 2010 to 2015 F series backup camera, I found a relatively cheap solution....at least cheaper that the $680 charged by a dealership. I previously tried various solutions on the web including fuse reset, turning parking lines off then on, etc. Intermittently the camera would say it couldn't be found, brighten, reverse the image and other weird things. Ultimately I ordered this new Dorman camera off Amazon for about $90 and replaced it in less than 10 mins. The OEM part I replaced was ec3t-19g490-aa. When I mounted the new camera the image was upside down because it is made for a different model. I just mounted it the opposite direction in the holder and adjusted the clip location to make it work.

My back up camera is doing the same thing. I see your post on the form is from 2021 were you able to fix the reverse image issue? If so how did you do it?
Thanks Mark

Following the thread... The fix is either in posts 4-7 (setting Parking Interrupt to -OFF-) -OR- post 9 (buying a new camera).

It is a software malfunction in the camera. Replace the camera and have the camera initialized by the dealer.
