I used their kit when I installed an Icebox intercooler and Mishimoto 6.0L transmission cooler. It’s a great kit, metal comes bare so plan to paint.
Only issues I had were I had to shave my intercooler mount tabs down a hair to fit. And if you are installing a Mishimoto transmission cooler read ahead in their directions and don’t cut the brackets off at 1 inch!
Glad to hear it went well. I do not like being early adopters of stuff hardly as I have been burned with first year engine problems and electronics.
I was going to use the CFS (sp?) brand IC with the kit and no ATF cooler here. I will probably buy the brackets after they have pipes available for the stock turbocharger.
So the brackets are raw steel? I figured at least aluminum or if steel they would be powder coated. Oh well, I will take them to my coater.
If you go with their brackets let us know how it turns out. I noticed a note on their website about fitment with CSF intercoolers.
They have a video up about their pipe kit and say most of it would also work for the Obsession T4 kit they offer. Nice option for someone looking to intercool the stock turbo now but wanting to upgrade sometime down the road.
I don’t have a great photo because I avoided removing my bumper. But here are the lower brackets holding my trans cooler. The intercooler sits in front.
I had mine powdercoated which was dumb, you can see a few chips where I scraped them up before I realized my intercooler tabs were too wide. If you run a trans cooler you are constrained on the bracket placement width so I just shaved my intercooler tabs down to fit.
