Parking brake cable
Re doing my rear end and would like to get the parking brake cable out of the backing plates.
Any tips ?
Or if I have to cut them what is the correct replacement?
I see ones for a 2 wheel drive but mine is a 4 wheel drive

Have you opened up the drums so you can see them from the inside? You can't exactly remove them from the back side of the backing plate since they hook into the release lever on the inside. Do you need a picture or drawing of how they operate?

Not sure if I understand this correctly. If you are trying to remove them, on the inside of the backing plate the are some fingers that need to be compressed. Squeeze the fingers and pull it to one side.. You might have to do one, get it compressed. Lean the cable to other side then compress to the other side. It should release
