If you're struggling to survive you should just buy the cheap green coolant at your local tractor supply. It's dirt cheap. Not sure why spending $100 on coolant makes sense.
Although the 6.0 is probably the worst engine to own if you're broke. When I was broke last year I drove a 92 Accord. It never broke down and if it did I didn't care.

I need 3 gallons of the ECL coolant at $25 a pop. So $75 , this thread is getting off track now so I’m gonna let it go. Thanks to the people who helped me.
I'm not trying to put you down, dude, but you have the attitude of knowing more than anyone else. Surprisingly, I can read and comprehend more than one thread per day. Sometimes I even make it to three. So I did read your other thread; that was why I mentioned nitpicking. I bought and sold on eBay since it was initiated, tons of used camera and audio amongst other things; I know my way around. Even bought more than one thing in one in a day, there's that multitasking ability again.
This motor is not tolerant of errors in parts or labor. You screw up an oil cooler, either by having a counterfeit part or clogging it after the new install, that's another $1500-1,800 repair since you are not doing the work. Although Mark gave you a way to recycle the coolant, the $75 if you had to repurchase, I would consider it a disposable part of the work. And glad to see you corrected muhford on that $25 error, that kind of error is just not tolerable. I could go on about how a poor quality faulty item in the reference voltage circuit can cost a ridiculous amount of money to troubleshoot, but I'm sure you already know all that.
I hope you get that 200k of trouble-free life out of the "given to me for free" truck. I'm am sorry you go into such a situation in life.
Everyone in the room just got quiet and turned to see what will happen next...
“Did he just say that to TMT?”
”Shhh! Go make some popcorn. This is gonna be good.”
Gentlemen I must thank you for providing today’s entertainment at such a reasonable price. I can now afford to upgrade to the red coolant because of your generous and selfless contribution to the forum.
[QUOTE=TooManyToys.;19707136]I stifled myself. The original response was longer.
It is a testament to your wisdom and experience with this subject matter that most, if not all of the faithful member of this forum can state unequivocally that when TMT is involved longer is certainly better.
Please keep in mind that this forum is loaded with free information and there are many experienced individuals on here who are taking the time to assist and guide you and hopefully avoid some of the pitfalls that this motor does present over time. Numerous people have had issues with Ebay parts that are supposedly "Factory Original". If you take the time to read other threads here you will see a commonality to these common issues. This motor can be an excellent power unit once some of the issues are dealt with but it does require constant monitoring-just look up Forerscan or Torquepro here.
Bismic(Mark) and TooManyToys(Jack) are some of the heavy hitters constantly on this forum(I apologize if I have missed other of the regular contributors, not my intention) providing solid advice. What you need to do is wade thru the suggestions provided and make the decision that best suits you and your situation.

Rob your in that list to. You make a point that I tried to make. There are guys on hear that know more about 6.0s than anybody. Those 2 you mentioned are on the top of the list. Jack goes into super detail, I'm guessing from the jobs he has held and the knowledge about said questions. OP will realize that if he follows this Forum past the time of his truck being fixed, most don't.
The OP will also realize that Jack was right, if he hangs around a while.
Whether or not he continues to be a disrespectful ingrate remains to be seen.
I couldn’t agree more. It’s so in-your-face disrespectful I wonder if English isn’t the first language. Or it’s intentional trolling.
I’ve been reading this forum for several years and nobody has ever referred to TMT as “gramps”. He didn’t even capitalize it!
Going to put a Fork in this thread because it is done, really disappointed with the attitudes here given the information available. Start off on the wrong foot and it kept going down hill.
