I was going to make him an offer of $500 but I would have to make an ebay account first. I used to have one, but haven't bought anything from ebay in probably 10 years, so many other, much better sites. Ebay is is till hanging on somehow, but then again someone probably still uses a fax machine to.

Yeah. If I wasn't literally all the way across the country I'd buy it sight unseen. If it's a decent rig, fine. If not, there should be plenty of usable parts there.
