I’m looking at Ford build and price and coming up with $5600 CAD (4900 USD on the US site) difference between a loaded Platinum (has 6.7 diesel, 4x4, adaptive steering and dual pane sunroof) and a Limited. I’m not seeing much difference in the trucks other than price. For those of you going to the Limited trim level, why? I’m thinking I must be missing something?
No pleather.
Unique soft/smooth leather. Two toned soft leather seats, soft leather dash tops, soft leather door trim, suede headliner, soft leather center console, soft steering wheel. Unique wheels, grille, interior appliqué on steering wheel and dash, and basically every interior option available. NOT a daily work interior color for someone getting dirty every day. This is more Lincoln.
Options are suspension and accessories.
Its a price upgrade, but will bring better resale that reflects the trim package.
Depending on your taste, you can’t go wrong with either Plat or Limited.
I went from a 2019 Platinum to a 2020 Limited the seat fabric/leather is definitely different, is the other options worth the $5600 it will be up to you. I will let you know in a year if the trade in difference is worth it?
My wife has a 19’ Expedition Platinum, which in the Expedition should be compatible the 20’ SD Limited Trim.
The seats are definitely not the same there either. The SD limited seats must have a different foam because they are a more comfortable/thicker feeling.

It will be very interesting how you do trading it in a year. I think if I planned on keeping my truck for ten or so years, paying the extra would be easier to justify than it is when I plan on trading every 2 to 3 years. If it costs me an extra $1000 per year to sit on softer leather I think I can put up with the Platinum interior.
I liked the limited...but...I needed my truck to have 4 things...didnt matter to me if these 4 things were on an xl, xlt, lariat, king ranch, platinum, limted.
found what I needed on a lariat with ultimate package so I went with that.
limited vs what I bought was a difference of 20K.
would I take a limited at a lariat price..sure...but

It’s definitely not a work truck interior, and the fluff will not add a single one of the four things yourself and most others buy a truck for.
It’s simply a luxury trim. Same comparison can be made between a Chevy Tahoe and a Cadillac Escalade.
Interior color choice was my deciding factor. I find the King Rang and Limited colors to be.....well not for me to put it politely. I prefer my Platinum black seats.
My 2nd Platinum. Had a '17 Lariat Ultimate and went to '18 Platinum and now a '20 Platinum. I use mine for work (occasionally) and we have a dog and grandkids so all of our vehicle's interiors are black. The Ltd is definitely a nice package but the light colored interior won't work for us. Either way, you'll have a nice ride. Good luck.
The only item I liked better on the Ltd over the Platinum was the non gloss wood inlay in the doors and center console. I need black interior as I have a family and it's easier to look nicer longer with kids that make a mess of everything. Lol!
I also prefer the grill on Platinum over the Ltd and I didn't want the steering assist.
