still working on updating this old truck of mine and now fixing to update the belt, tensioner, pulleys and vacuum pump.
i have found two different motorcraft parts for the idler pulley and wondering if anyone has experience or an opinion on them:
YS262 (F5TZ8678BB) and YS216 (F4TZ8678A)
i have the correct tensioner after reading all the threads on here and on OB about this (i have the one with the mini shock attached) but havent found anything about these two different idler pulley parts
it looks to me as if the YS262 is an updated version as the result of these trucks throwing the belt the first couple of years after it was released initially.
any info is greatly appreciated and if i am missing anything please contribute
yeah I believe the 262 has shields and the 216 does not....IF you already have the shields I think you can use the 216 with the shields
I'll look into it a bit later and see if I have the TSB
