"Decked" "Toolbox"
I have been trying for years to get them to come out with a box that will fit into the dead space the 6.5 drawer system creates in an 8ft bed. I wound up putting a bed wide tool box that is a little higher than the drawer system...would be nice to have a box that was level with the decked system.
anyway..I discussed this with the decked folks and they told me it would be a tooling night mare and costly.
so what did they go a head and do...not driven by customer demand...they came out with a HDPE winged tool box. I was quick to let them know the "winged" box was a problem since I have a Cap and most folks have a cover of some type.
they show a guy trying to break into it with a crow bar and couldnt.....that doesnt mean you or I could not break into it with a plastic butter knife.
the toolbox has a ladder built in so you can climb into easier.
I think the toolbox will have some dead space under the tool box and behind the drawer system...not sure if that space is accessible or not.
anyway..here is the link

sadly, they lost sight of the actual problem to be solved ( a box to fit the dead space the drawer system creates) , and came up with a product that needs to compete in a highly competitive market and is unrelated to the original problem.
like many of us...I have a winged tool box in not using and it sits at the end of my yard holding 6 filled fuel containers.
Why not just use a cordless and drill the lock out in 15 seconds.
Like the ladder but a 200 toolbox and jumping in the bed to get to the middle of the box seems to force me to exercise.

After they denied my warranty claim a few years ago and labeled it as abuse I gave up on them. The top of my deck box had cracks and splits from normal construction use. I went back to a full length sliding pack rat box and a cross box.
