Hey everyguys, I would like to find the correct plug under the rear of my '21 F250 for the three running lights that are mounted under the tailgate. My truck came with a cover where the lights are mounted on trucks equipped with the marker lights.. I took it off, drilled, and mounted three 3/4" leds in the cover. I would like to find the plug (there are several under there) and get the correct Deutch plug to install the now lighted cover. Any help would be appreciated.
The guy does the videos under the name of Power Tech Talk and goes by the name Arod. I have watched many many of his well produced videos and get the feeling he actually works at a Ford Dealership or Ford Service Center. His videos are geared toward helping the DIY'r service their truck. Arod explains the steps he takes while passing along hints and tips. After watching his videos, I know he is the Ford Tech we all wish was doing the various servicing on our Super Duty trucks. If you need an example of his attention to detail just watch his simple video on an Oil & Filer change. By contrast, I had my trucks oil and filter changed two weeks ago at a ford dealer in the Pacific Northwest. The new filter was covered in black oil, the wind from driving splattered oil on several parts and I had a few oil spots on my driveway. This oil was likely from the top of the filters rim that had oil dripping onto it while putting the new filter on.
I think this is the link to his main YouTube Page. If your new to the wonderful world of Super Duty and Diesels like I am, there is a tremendous education that can be had from him and his efforts!

Great video. He makes it look so much easier by being a tech...knowing what size & type pins to use, how to decipher the service manual, access to correct harness connectors, wire loom & "christmas trees" (not zip ties & electrical tape).
I actually have 3 LED's that I'm going to drill & tap into the plastic cover back there when the weather gets warmer. My plan was to just cut the violet/white wire on the truck side and use a butt connector, bypassing the large white connector all together...
...and is it bad that my first thought was "I hope I'm not the one paying the shop $120/hr so this guy can make videos..." LoL
The funny thing is, this is my 3rd Superduty and the 3rd Superduty I will have installed the marker lights on. I wanted to make this a clean job with a factory look since my truck is only a couple of weeks old. I really was looking for information as to the connection Ford makes for the lights.
I have never tackled a Deutch plug "implant" but it looks simple enough. I did however just go on Amazon and order the crimper and pins. A bit pricey for what they are but again I wanted to do it right his time, having used crimp connectors on my other two trucks. Here is a picture of the delete cover with Maxxim 3 light 3/4" leds...I found Maxxim makes the 3 lights already wired up, they marked "up" for orientation. Thanks again smikesF350 for the link...great video!!
I ordered the whole wire and pin setup thru A-Rod and will use the same method on my truck.
He was super responsive and sent me a tracking number the same day. This method is about as close as you can get to having the actual connector off the DRW trucks, and I would urge everyone to go subscribe to his channel and watch the info in them. Not too many guys running that kind of channel dedicated to DIY SD owners!

Wow! That is great. I did not know he was actually providing a kit. If you don't mind my asking, what was the cost of the kit? I am hooked on his channel and videos.

20 bucks.
He provides everything he shows in the video posted above, you provide the marker light.
I recommend the factory Ford light. It’s pricey but looks correct IMO.
