I ve got a 2002 F 250 CC XLT and noticed the rear brake line that travels along the axle is getting rusty. To change this and other brake line from the Calipers, I'll assume that emptying the brake system of any fluid is the first order of business. I've never changed them and want to do it while the replace the rotors and brake pads. To those that have done it to theirs what are the issues if any?
Thanks in advance...
Yes you can try to get it all out but sometimes easier to just crimp the lines with some locking pliers and get to work.
Lines originate at a J box by the front drivers battery and that is where most start to replace from the jbox out.
I did mine last year and there is a good write up here... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-write-up.html
Also did copper nickle lines - very easy and recommended to work with as well as removing the bed makes it a lot easier to get to it but if you can just fish the new line for the rear through the frame.
