LOW OIL PRESSURE WARNING 2016 6.7

Hello, New to the forum hope to get help and give help when I can, I have a 16 f350 with 84 k miles. Low oil pressure warning light comes on when sitting at a light in gear. The warning goes off when I put in Park. Never comes on while driving only when stopped with my foot on the brake. Now, what I ve done is replace the switch and the housing the oil and the filter. nothing changed. Today I installed an oil pressure gage and oil pressure was normal. Also put an oem filter on. double checked the level and used rotella 10w30 oil.

Switch back to oem oil filter asap. I think you will find that maybe your issue.

No need to cheap out with STP products. Is 10w30 good for your use? Check the owners manual. Many find the switching to rotella 5 40 is better due to the cold and heavy use.

Is there something about the flow in the oem filter that would prevent this?

verified your level? Perhaps the oil cooler has an issue

I tried to find an on line diagram of the oil system to look for choke points. didnt find a good diagram.

my recommendation is to use forscan to check the oil temp and check the coolant temp. if there is a large difference....the oil cooler could be obstructed.

sounds like you eliminated the sensors, filter, oil grade.

using thick oil tends to build up soot......

another potential point to check....oil pressure regulator. its a spring loaded pressure relief system and the spring could be worn out.

not an easy fix...engine has to be pulled if this is the problem.
