ABS is now activating at slow speed less than 5mph...on dry pavement... so annoying and maybe dangerous? anyway
pulled fuse #14 so ABS now disabled, but... any ideas?
Use, borrow, or come by a ELM scan tool & run FORScan diagnostic freeware on the viewing device of your choice as discussed here Low Cost ELM Scantool - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums (ford-trucks.com), as this inexpensive but powerful combo can query All of the vehicle computer / controllers, including the ABS controller & all wheel speed sensors, for trouble codes, or corrupt sensor PIDs, so can help focus a trouble shoot as it did for me on my ABS woes in 2013 when I came by the ELM for my electronic tool box. Post All code Numbers & which year model Ranger & if it has 2 or 4WABS.
More thoughts for consideration, let us know what you find.
Instead of removing the fuse you should have checked for...
no codes. disabling it was necessary as i believed with the ABS still on it was making driving the truck dangerous...
i'm leaving it off until this crazy cold weather ends.... like in June...
