New b100 guy

So I'm here looking for parts mostly and information for future builds. I've got a b100 (the b350) being built right now and am super excited about it. It'll probably be all over the place by the end of the year. Just being modest, but this things gonna be nasty. I didn't really know anything about the b100 until after I got this beast. At it's core, it's a ford pickup. That's what Ford factories sent to Mexico anyways.

Welcome to FTE!

In the US, the B series is school buses.

I tried to find Mexican Ford manuals or parts catalogs recently. I came up empty handed.

INot sure where to send you, other than to work with US stuff and improvise as you go.

What engine and trans in that one? Or are you going to repower?

Being built....from the Latin buildimus maximus. Meaning disassembled down to nuts and bolts to deal with the psychos in Mexico that built this thing. Finding nice touches like the door hinges being welded on all 3 rear doors. The rear body/tub was attached then the bolts welded over top off on the floor.....

This was a cargo truck. There aren't even bolt holes for rear seating. And all the doors rub, even with no paint, requiring skinning and blah blah blah. As of this moment, the mechanics are sound and awaiting reinstallation (and whatever drama that brings).

To do:
Interior
A/C
Need a new drive shaft
Glass all around
Roof rack
Bumpers

Are you doing it or having it done? Definitely do a build thread as these are seldom if ever seen on the road. Very intriguing set up, I'll be following along. I was thinking of building an "overland/bugout" type of project next. With a 7.3 Godzilla and automatic. .One could really have a great set up with this sort of platform albeit rare as hell.

I'm having it done. I've spent half the last year overseas and have long given up the dream of working on my own projects until I'm permanently stateside. I'll start a build thread this weekend.

On the thread build I'll put in the history of the series as well. Never knew they existed until last year after over 30 years messing with Ford's.

That's a cool project. I've always been amazed that they didn't sell them in the US.

Welcome aboard!

Ford didn't send anything to Mexico. That truck was 100% built in Mexico.
