Key forward no start
My 1988 early idi f 350 starts by bypassing starter relay with my remote starter unit. New ignition switch and starter relay today. Problem not solved . I was having problems with door locks until I replaced the ignition switch. The single wire going to starter relay is the information I need for diagnosing my problem. Thanks you all.

is that Manual or Automatic and is it with or without the RAP Module ?
I have the schematics for the 1998 F250 should be same as the 350 but need to know what Transmission so I can post the correct set for you.
this is really the wrong forums for the 98 too as our last year was 1994

when you turn the key to start, do you feel resistance and does it return to the run position when you release the key?
if not, the ignition actuator in the column is most likely broken. common issue with these older trucks.
good news is it is only a $17 part, and takes around 1.5 hours to replace.
