Good afternoon, I recently replacd the wastegate actuator, waste gate solenoid, and the red/green hoses. The boost is almost non existent. I did change from a factory to a 33psi actuator. I have a 2001 7.3. Any help or suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.

Were you building boost before you change the actuator? If your wastegate actuator is set correctly it should take a good amount of pressure for you to manually open the wastegate. Your best bet is to build a boost leak detector, you can do this by a simple Google search. You probably have one of your CAC boots leaking so it would be a good idea to check all of the clamps and make sure none of the boots are ripped. Once you build the boost leak detector you can pump up the system and spray everything with a soapy water mixture to look for air bubbles
Photos would be helpful. As jstihl mentioned, did you have boost before the parts swap?
I would guess that you do not have the actuator rod correctly adjusted. Can you tighten the rod to take length out of it? I have seen other members recommend making it too short then using compressed air to extend the rod and attach to the gate. Many people also delete the red line, but that doesn’t sound like the root of your problem.

Thank you! I’ll give this a shot. I’ll post results.

Like a few of the other guys touched on, you can plug the red line, (there is a plug on the AYS manifold you can use for the red line) then see if you build boost. That will either eliminate or confirm the waste-gate actuator as the problem.
Did you remove the turbo to do the actuator modifications?
Thanks for all the help. I found one of the connectors had torn causing loss of power. Made the repair and the turbo began building pressure again. Thanks again everyone!
