My '76 F-100 has leafs mounted below the rear axle and held up with air shocks - presumable for lowering? Is this the "axle flip" I've heard about? It appears they welded new brackets for mounting the leafs? Can this be reversed - I'd prefer original.
Any advice welcome.
It sounds like an axle flip. Did they leave the original leaf mount pads on the top of the axle or cut them off? If they're there then it shouldn't be too hard. Do the shock mounts look original and they just used shorter shocks? If they changed those you might have to measure for shocks after you remount the leafs on top.
