Youve got three options to keep your height,
1)put in heavier rougher riding leaf via an add - leaf or add leaves from junkyard pack, which should enable you to reduce block size and resist wrap better. Probably the simplest would be a short 2" add-a-leaf just above the overload pack, which will give you about 2" of lift and you should be able to swap to about a 2" block.
2)install one of the many ladder bars out there, keep in mine the bars that have a 3 point connection and do not have a slip joint in bar or shackle at frame in bind the suspenion. But all of them really help put the power to the ground
3)reduce your power

Why do you say that? I have never heard this, and I have had traction bars on my truck for 3 years, no problems with the springs.
