Rear speed sensor

Hey guys new here don't hate to hard. I looked all over for a post of this and didn't find one so here I go. I have a 2011 ford f250 CCLB 6.2 and I was throwing a rear speed sensor code and having my spedo go crazy when it acted up then go normal when the code would stay solid. I bought the sensor and started to take it out of the rear diff and the sensor does not come out of the diff. I have spun it and moved it every which way and cannot get it out. What do I do? Do I need to pull the diff cover?

Do you have the electronic locking differential? Could the one in the photo be the ELD connector. Do you have a photo of the speed sensor? What about the wire colors of the harness shown in the photo?

I don't have electric rear diff. I have an XL model that has 0 options. I have a video I just don't know how to post it but it's the ONLY sensor plug on the rear diff so I know it's the plug it's the same shape and everything I'm just confused on why it won't come out.

Oh I thought you were trying to remove the sensor from the diff. To get the harness off pb blaster will work for that too. You just need something to get all the dirt cleaned our so the push tab will release. Before you pb blast you could try lightly hitting it with a handle of a screwdriver.

Like Muhford said clean it to get all the dirt and crud out of it, then push in a little bit, squeeze and pull it off. If it's really stubborn reinstall it with the bolt just finger tight
