I have a 2004 F350 6.0 that I bought that had the EGR deleted. As a result of that, the p0404 code was always triggering the CEL. I could reset the code, but it would come back on a mile or two down the road once the driving starts. Recently, the batteries died, as far as I can tell from some draw from the brake controller and not being driven enough.
I have since had the batteries charged and put back in and it runs perfect. Except, that code is no longer being thrown. Why would that code no longer come up? I didn't replace the EGR, it's still gone. Could there still be additional electrical issues?
