F-250 camera
I own a 2013 F-250 Platinum with upfitter switches and would like to connect one to my rear view camera. I am thinking I should be able to do this by connecting the switch to the black/pink wire at the side of the steering column. Does my thinking sound reasonable?

I think you will find that the camera is fed hot all the time and only when the radio gets a signal that the user has shifted into reverse does the camera video appear on the radio screen.
Lockpick makes a device that allows you to turn on the backup camera. Maybe this is what you are wanting?
