Suppose one were to have onboard air (OBA), could one replaced the fender mounted electric vacuum pump with a venturi effect vacuum generator? The original electrical supply to the electric pump could be used to control a solenoid valve that supplies compressed air to the vacuum generator. The sound the vacuum generator will make every time vacuum is called for will be akin to a very loud and random blow off valve. Uber kewl, yes?

I clearly remember you saying...no more money being spent. Yet, it appears you are having problems admitting to your PMS addictions.
What you do you mean? Have you seen the last line of my sig? Plus I'm PAA #56.
You have to spend the money on something Leonard! May as well be something you enjoy doing and working on and is capable of showing you results time and time again.
Just make sure you leave enough in the coffer to be at the Meet & Greet next month.

No worries. I have budgeted for the trip already. What I'm getting nervous about is two possibilities:
Obeying the speed limit and falling asleep at the wheel.

Getting so many tickets I don't make it to GA.
Set the cruise control and let the truck do it's thing. Listen to podcasts or an audio book from YouTube, I tend to do that when I drive long distance.
I cannot help you with the tickets, but if you plan to carry, make sure you are within the law of the land during your travels. I have a small map that I keep in my glove compartment of each vehicle we own that we travel with. That way I can know easily and quickly which states I have reciprocity in, which are most of them, thankfully.

Setting the cruise control is how I nearly fell asleep AND got a ticket (the speed, not the sleeping) the last time.
I'm not planning to carry through that many states but I'm wondering if I should install a rack in the rear window to fit in once I get to the South.
