351w possible Crack?

Hello, I was tearing down a 351w ho from a 1986 f150 and I noticed a hole in the block. It's under the intake manifold, and when you look through it it goes to the timing chain. I took a photo from the front side of the engine and it looks like it might have a crack running down from it. Is this block worth keeping or should I get another one??

This one is a little wprry some too.....

In this day and age, hang onto the block, even if you replace it... Hole and crack is repairable. Could be a worth while spare to keep around... Just sayin'

That does look like a crack but it may be of no consequence, can you zoom out and show the general area where it is located?

It's right in behind where the cam timing gear is. To the right of it is where the distributor goes in. I also checked the ring gap and its .003 over what the max tolerances are.

I have a similar hole in my block that looks like it was an accident. Right behind the cam gear, an irregular shaped hole. never gave me any problems

That hole looks normal to me and I think what looks like a crack is a paste ooze line from the cores used to cast the block.
