Hello- New here but have searched and called to local dealers. I just purchased a 1994 f350 rollback. The engine has been replaced and owner can't remember much about when or what??Its serial number is : 7.4 JU2U 016943
Is there anything, anyone can tell me about this engine?
thx for the help -Jay
A 94 could have 2 different diesel engines, and one of them came in 2 different builds. The IDI diesel came with either natural or turboed. If your engine has a pump with external lines running from it to the injectors it is an IDI. The powerstroke version has no diesel injection pump with lines running to the injectors, as the are fired by oil pressure, and electrical pulse. About the only thing the IDI and the Powewrstroke have in common is the cubic inch displacement. So until we know for sure what engine you have, we could be telling you wrong.
