Howdy! I was wondering if anyone knows a place to find well-priced headliners and headliner trim. I don't mind a plastic or wood headliner, I just need some fairly priced trim. I have a 67 f250.
There are choices of headliners.
First is a factory style from sources like Dennis carpenter. My old Feb of 2013 catalog says $110.00. Choices of perforated or non-perforated. www.dennis-carpenter.com.
Second would be a ABS plastic one that comes with 4 speakers across the back and a spot for a stereo head unit, CB radio, etc. at the front in the middle. Called a "Highliner". It is advertised as fitting trucks with or without a headliner from the factory. Checking on line I found one source wanted $359.95 + $85.00 for a custom color other than black + $80.00 for freight. Another source for the same highliner said $399.99 but made no mention of color upcharge. Nor freight cost before you would start to place an order.
....or Roddoors.com sells an ABS one-piece headliner for 67-72 trucks. Its $279.00. You cover it with headliner fabric of your choice and snap it in with velcro/adhesive fasteners. I have one in my 66 and it looks very nice.
Any feedback or pictures for folks who've gotten a headliner from them for 67/72? Pretty substantial difference in shipped price so I am interested just wondering if it's worth the potential trouble.
This looks very similar to the Dennis Carpenter firewall pad I have going in my truck. Just took it out last week to fit it. I know DC charges $250 for there pad. It is rather flexible and feels like original material.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it is from DC and they repackage it.
Is it it me or does the one by collectors look to be sprayed with raptor liner?

I am putting the perforated one in and glueing headliner material to it. Should be doing this in a week or so.
As as far as the trim, I was looking to buy some new stuff because the mice were so bad in the headliner, must of been the bathroom, that it rusted the chrome. I looked and looked for new stuff but I came to the conclusion it is not reproduced.
I ended up taking the pieces to the local local stainless repair shop here in town and had him fix the original pieces. He told me that they are stainless but Ford chromed them when he started fixing them. So instead of caroming them again I had him polish them out. The rusted chrome was so bad it pitted the stainless put he got most of it out.
I will say this, I ordered it on 12/31, I was curious why I had not received a tracking number, so on the 6th I asked for a tracking number, on the 7th I received this response: Hi Patrick,
Thank you for your question. Currently, the headliner you ordered is in production and is anticipated to be shipped the week of January 11th - January 15th. Once your headliner is produced and shipped you will receive an email with the tracking information.
If there is anything else we can do for you please let us know. Bryan
Apparently they make them after order rather than having a bunch of completed on hand. It finally shipped on the 14th and supposedly will arrive tomorrow the 17th from Arkansas.
I ordered the ABS one from LMC. When it showed up I was unimpressed seeing as it was literally just a flat piece of plastic, Had I known I would have just made my own for the money that they charged me for it. Either way it fits perfectly and the only problem I have had with it is trying to keep my fabric stuck to it.

I was wondering what that one was like. I went with the perf one just because I didn’t think the fabric would stick. My suspensions were correct I guess.
You could use use it as a pattern and go to the local hardware shop and possibly make one out of thin peg board.
Here is another headliner that I had found. Go to the year of the trucks and it is on page 86. I had to scroll through it.
They have perforated and non-perforated for $110. https://chuckstrucksllc.com/pdf/67-79Truck.pdf
I finally got it in. It was a hell of a good time. But the DC perforated fit really well. I wish I would of dry fitted it before covering it but it still turned out. Didn’t have to cut the board at all, a win in my book.
