73-79 Trim Differences
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question, or the 73-79 forum is better. I was wondering if there was any difference in the upper body molding on 73-79 1/2 vs 3/4 ton trucks. I know that the generally speaking, the xlt's and rangers had molding with black vinyl inserts on them, as opposed to the customs which had only aluminum trim that was more narrow. I'm aware that any trim could be special ordered for any truck too. I have a 74 f250 Custom and have not been able to find any original trim for it. Several companies manufacture/sell trim for them, but the only option is the wide trim with black vinyl as far as I can find. I am planning on checking some junk yards to see what I can find, and I just wanted to verify ahead of time if the 1/2 ton trim is the same. I have a feeling I will be buying some off of ebay and some here and some there, so I don't want to buy mismatched trim. Thanks in advance
