Yes and yes. Whomever you chose to install it should give you the option of OE or not. OE will have the markings, not the little Ford sticker though. The non OE generally wont have the lettering.
When my wife’s new mustang got huge crack several years ago, we had the glass guy put in OE glass and it was a perfect replacement. ( Here in Louisiana, people get chips and cracks in windows all the time. We’ve had more windshield damage here than when we drove the Alaskan highway ( mostly gravel at the time) in the 80’s. Lol
it depends on your policy. Here, they will only replace with aftermarket glass unless the vehicle is less than two years old or leased. On my last truck, I paid $800 for OE glass and got a whopping $180 dollars back that they would have paid for the aftermarket glass. Looking through aftermarket glass is like being in a swimming pool.
Yes - I just had to replace the windshield on my 2020. Geico replaced it with the OEM ford glass. They told me it was on back order but it arrived in a week, so that wasn't bad. I was bummed that they transfered my stupid oilchange sticker but not the Ford Factory sticker like you said though. Make sure they order the correct glass for cameras / lane keep etc. I confirmed with them that the OEM glass was there, showed up, and sure enough it wasn't the correct glass for the exact truck I had. With all that being said I will say that the process was very easy and didn't cost a dime

Yes you can.
If your insurance covers it, just go to your local dealer and have them order a new OEM windshield and have it installed there.
I’m sure they have a company that comes out to their lot for said replacements.
This is not necessarily correct. My insurance company specifically states that the replacement windshield is supposed to be of " like " quality. It really depends upon the shop you take it to. The person replacing the windshield has to state that they are having a problem with the "off brand windshield" to get insurance to pay the upgrade for the "original".
I had them show me in the "fine print", after calling to fight for an original.
Three windshields cracked in 5 months. I’m trying aftermarket glass next.
To answer your question, you can get OEM glass if you request it and you have decent insurance. The above comments were kind of funny. “Around here ...”. Generally, it doesn’t matter where you are, it matters what type of insurance you have. Not all insurance is created equal.

Because insurance companies typically vary by region. You can request it all you want, you’re gonna pay for it, if doesn’t meet the insurance companies criteria, or get cheap glass.
I have AAA in CA and they wouldn't replace with OEM glass and it was within 1 year of when I bought the truck (2018). Safelite came out with the incorrect windshield the first time, but they came back the second time with an aftermarket windshield that worked and installed that. To be honest, I can't tell the difference between Ford and the Safelite aftermarket other than not having the Ford lettering. I definitely would have complained if it was like looking through a swimming pool - but this one was fine. It has a chip again, this time in the lower left corner, but I'll just wait til it spreads and get another aftermarket one... I don't know what it is with these trucks.

Sounds like it might be time for you to start shopping for better insurance coverage.
Ford OEM glass is the most reasonably priced, on average, of the big 3. Has anybody asked what the cash price is?
I paid $270 bucks last time on my '12 for factory glass, and I'm sure being newer and added tech has pushed it higher. It's got to go north of $500 for me to consider adding glass coverage here.

nah, all my policies are fine. Like I said, most insurance is similar in a specific region, changing insurers will have little or no effect. If the car is leased or less than 2 years old, it gets OE. If it doesn't meet that criteria, you are getting "free" crappy aftermarket glass. If you still want OE (I did), arrange for it yourself, pay the ~$800 bill, and get whatever the cost of the aftermarket glass is back from the insurance, which is usually less than $200. Often times the dealer will tell you who they use for glass. If it's safelite, run.
Curious about that. I have replaced about a dozen windshields on 4 cars over the past 5 years all with Safelite and have never had an issue, granted they are all OEM glass replacements. Is your comment about their service, quality of installation, quality of aftermarket glass, combination of all, or something else?

safelites expert work. Improperly sealed replacement windshield, rusted out the aperture then leaked into the cabin. Gave them another chance later with another vehicle using aftermarket glass, and it was like looking through a swimming pool.
