Has anyone had any experience with these retro radios with Bluetooth? I’ve got a 51 M1 and was looking for any input or ideas on a am/fm radio. I can’t seem to find a nice used one online and leaning toward these retro am/fm Bluetooth type.
Hoping this New Year brings us ALL together, Cheers!
I have no experience myself but see no reason they wouldn't work great other than price as they are a little pricey . Are you looking for something to fit in the factory spot or just something that looks more period correct ?
I have looked at them but decided that since I'm definitely not stock or stock looking the extra money could be spent elsewhere . I see you're from Sylvan how are things there ? My daughter and her husband had a house there , then an acreage at Bently now at Beaumont .
I have installed 3 of the retro sound units. They work well but I would highly recommend the add on amplifier they Sell. It’s small enough to hide up under the dash and makes the sound more like what you would expect from a stereo these days.
Several guys replace the fixed antenna with an RCA antenna jack to hook the cars original antenna to. They could operate it with the remote through the original dial. I was intrigued and purchased a similar unit to try out in my travel trailer. I never did get it installed, I have it hooked up in my garage to 4 old boom box speakers (even though mine's only a 2 channel unit). I have a memory stick plugged into it and it pretty much runs anytime I'm out in the garage.
You could always hide the unit in the glove box or something so you wouldnt have to tear up dash or radio unit
