The factory radios in the 1999 - 2003 range did not have aux in that I'm aware of. I just installed a cheap Dual XDVD256BT for $150 with all the install stuff. It may be more fancy than what your looking for, but it does give me an in dash backup camera option as well as hands free with my cell via Bluetooth. I looked at other Dual's as well, they have half din's that may be more to your liking.
I bought a 6CD Audiophile OEM stereo out of a 2004-ish Mountaineer/Escape. Looks just like mine that died on me but with more power. It looks just like this:
I got an upgrade and it still looks factory (since it is...and it matched my dash perfectly). I'm not young so I don't need all the flashing lights and 253 functions at my fingertips.
I also had to buy a conversion plug since the newer radio is a different plug style (Ford changed them around 2004) but I can't remember where I bought it. I think I paid $150-$175 for the unit (used) about 3 years ago and it's still working.
If the app radio that's in it now is a double din the dash bezel has to be cut in 99-04 trucks as the opening and factory radio is slightly smaller than an actual double din you can't put a radio like is linked in the post above back in with out getting a new dash bezel as well.

Do you have any suggestions for a double din thatll fit a 2000 f250? I dont need it top notch, mainly for back up camera and handfree, and future hook up for a sub/ sound system.

Check out the Dual XDVD256BT. I just put one in my 2003 F350. Keep in mind, a double din doesn't just fit. The trim panel needs to be modified as well as a mounting kit.

Like Black Jack said above no double din just fits in a 99-04 super duty the trimming is no big deal though there's videos online that show what you have to cut. I don't have an specific suggestions except that I would seriously consider receiver that has car play if you have an iPhone it looks like that the receivers that have carplay also are capable of the equivalent of whatever its called for android. While I have nothing but great things to say about my Sony tv home theater receiver and blu-ray player, I will say I'm not real impressed with the quality of my Sony head unit. As far as I know pretty much any head unit with a screen has an input for a back up camera now days. Like CPaulsen said check out crutchfeild that will give you a good idea of what you can get then you can shop around and see if you can find a better price.
I think the hardest task is finding what you want that does not include everything you don't. Hard to get one without the other, but as suggested from all the posts above the choices can be overwhelming.

Good point. If the dash is trimmed for the current radio it will not be pretty to go back to a factory radio without a new upper dash (and that's a big piece). Best bet is to check out Crutchfield to see what fits whether you buy it from there or not.

Thanks
Crutchfield will list what pieces/parts you need for your truck.
I'll see if I can dig up the receipts to get numbers. The mounting kit was easy, the ranges are listed on the package. It was the wiring harness adapter that I searched a little for. Most of the adapters I found for that year range did not include the three years of our trucks. I did find the correct one after visiting 5 local places.
