I bought my 2017 Lariat that way with no LEDS then I thought I will add them cost twice as much as adding as a option when ordering. So I bought a 19 Platinum LEDS cause they look so cool. My 2021 will have the them. Just do it its a only like two dollars more a month on your payment. .... Unless your loaded and paying Cash

Back in 2017 the only way to get LEDs on a lariat was to get the ultimate package and that forced you to get the sunroof and cost something like $5000. At least that’s how it was in the early builds.
This is a 21 order and they are still an option. Why.... Like most, seems odd at this point. That was two interesting comments about snow and the LED's. Snow and cold are a fact of life in MN. Not putting a plow on this one. Trading in my 19 6.2, sold the plow since I don't have a business parking lot to plow anymore and getting the 6.7 for towing a fifth wheel. I originally ordered the 7.3 but everyone in the RV sites said get the diesel. Still a huge debate in my mind. Oh well, If I hate the diesel, I can always sell it.
The reason they’re an option is to get people to upgrade to a higher priced trim level or package.
I checked with dealer, he got them ordered. I pulled our new fifth wheel yesterday for the first time...... let's just say I cannot wait for the 6.7.
What did you pull with? I started mid-last year with an 01' 7.3 PSD - picked up my 20' 6.7 in November - night and day difference you will find.
Per the LED conversation, is there an after market solution to replace the Halogens? I purposefully purchased an end of year XL w/STX package as it isn't my daily driver. The existing lights are basically ok.
My 2020 doesn't have the LEDs. The factory halogens are crap. Plain and simple, bottom of the barrel, Sylvania junk, cheapo bulbs. That said, I replaced all 4 of the factory trash bulbs with Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. FAR SUPERIOR to the factory bulbs and I don't regret the halogens now.

That was a option for 17 as a stand alone and with Bliss and Adaptive
You’re comparing the leds snowing over on a Fusion to a SD and that’s the reason you think they are no good on a SD? Your advice is disingenuous if you haven’t owned a SD with them. I had a 2017 with halogens they were pathetic and I’ve had 18-19-20 SD with LEDs living in very cold snowy area north and zero issue. If anything I’d recommend the oem leds just for brightness.
while not owning a SD with them but driving both 150's and SD with them in our shop trucks i have had the same experience. I guess owning and driving them are 2 different things. Maybe they know?? Cj
