Can someone post a picture of their shift linkage/lever on their c6? I think I may have installed it wrong during the rebuild. None of the linkage joints line up at all. Thanks.
Here's a pic of my C6 to FE. The shift lever is set up stock, but I reversed the kickdown lever because, using a cable kickdown, it's a pull rather than push setup. Also, the neutral switch was added, not stock to this transmission.

Thanks a bunch. Judging by your pic I definitely installed mine wrong since my lever points up instead of down which would explain why nothing lines up
You running 4wd or 2wd? I seem to recall when i converted my c6 to 4wd, I had to use the 4wd shift assembly. Someone will Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the shift arms are different between the two.

I'm running a 4wd. Just took it out to rebuild it and of course now nothing lines up when I put it back in
Ok. Was just curious. Yours looks like it is set up like the 2wd, shift rod from column to the trans. 4wd, the rod comes from the column to the shift quadrant (z-bar assembly) then to the trans. Did you have these pieces there before the rebuild?

Yessir I have those exact parts
I got a picture of it from the other day. Kinda hard to see how far off it is from the picture, but they aren't even close and that picture is with the arm all the way back as far as it goes. When I push the arm/shift lever all the way forward it gets real close to the band adjustment stud. I'm pretty sure I installed it wrong somehow just wanted to be sure before I drop the pan and valve body to fix it
Okay, looks like a completely different shift arm. You’re going to have to use the other one and get the shift mechanism put in there. The bracket bolts in where you have the wiring clamps. The 2wd doesn’t use that quadrant setup so you may be able to get by without it but, I would change the arm with the other and put the rest back on.
edit... I just realized that wasn’t your other pic. The rod that comes from the column has an adjustment on it. Place the column in park, push your lever on trans all the way rearward. Loosen the adjustment nut where the long rod comes down and attaches to the quadrant. You should be able to get em back together.
I got curious so I crawled under mine in the rain. This is what it should look like while in park. If yours is all the way rearward as it sits now, then you have to remove the pan and put it back together 180 out

Problem solved I had to drop the pan and valve body and move the arm a little further back and now it shifts like normal. The arm is slotted on the inside and I somehow completely ignored it and tightened it down in between the slots
Thanks a bunch for your help and getting a pic in the rain I really appreciate it
Absolutely. Glad you could figure it out. As far as rain goes, not a big deal. It rains so much here I am surprised that I haven’t grown webbed feet yet.
