2003 Lariat with 40/60 seat, with console. Anyone know how to get console apart, mainly cup holder section ? Would like to get it reupholstered ,but there's no visible screws even shown !!!!! Any help appreciated. Have a safe New Year. Please don't tell me to look on You Tube, already did. Not one site tells you HOW to remove vinyl cup holder , just the plastic piece under the vinyl cup holder part. NOT very helpful !

No, there are no visible screws. From what I've seen on You Tube, most owners are just ripping off the cup holder vinyl part, and then ordering a black plastic replacement, and all those videos show removal of the white plastic base that the vinyl trim sets on. Thank you anyway, appreciate the feedback. I might just be purchasing one of those plastic replacements !

 

There was a guy actually making and selling the cup holder surrounds for 04-08. Pretty sure I got mine on ebay, and it's been great for several years. I thought he was also making pieces for the bubble bodies? No? I was even able to choose color (gray interior in my case) but again that was 04-08. It came with instructions but basically you're nearly destined to break some of the clips when you yank the old one off. At least one of mine broke and fell into the front of the armrest/console. I was afraid I'd hear it rattle while driving but it has not been a problem at all.

 

Searching eBay for "1998 ford f150 cup holder pad" brings up tons of hits for bubble bodies '97-03 ranging $39 to $54 in a multitude of colors....at least 2 grays, a black, a beige/tan and maybe more if I'd scrolled down

 

Thank you , I'll check E Bay. Yes, after 2003, the cup holder changed. In fact, the whole truck chanqed ! IMHO, the '97 to 2003 was one of the BEST looking trucks ever made ! Ford gotta lotta ***** charging close to $100,000.00 for a damn pick up truck. Gimme back the old body style, and the old price.
