Okay, so I really want to install a 2008 center console in place of my 2003 jump seat (40/20/40) I've done my research and know I need the Brackets. Big concern of mine that hasn't been answered by searching threads or looking at your guy's Installed Pics... Is the Height of the 08 console the same as the existing jumpseat console?? I want the console to act as an armrest but am concerned its lower than what I've got now.. Help please??

 

Measuring from the top of the console lid to the carpet, with the tape measure centered at the back of the console, touching the carpet, it is 17" tall.

 

I have an '08 with the factory console. I am 5' 11" tall and it is the perfect height for an armrest for me. I don't think it will be very durable. My truck has 14K and it has had a slight elbow depression for a while. I'd bet that it will be worn through by 50K.
